Ingredient Glossary

Our ingredients

You already know how your daily habits impact on how your hair looks and feels…but did you know that nature’s extracts are the secret to healthier, shiny hair?

Plant and fruit extracts have been nature’s medicinal solution for eons and Australian natives are the toughest botanicals on the planet.

MUVO selects ingredients from a variety of suppliers who grow and source from around the world, but our proudest ingredients are native Australian extracts. They are powerhouses of natural actives needed to combat extreme, unpredictable conditions; they withstand damage against up to 50 degree heat, manage to maintain their bright colours in both flowers and leaves without fading and protect themselves from the harsh Australian environment. Heat protection, anti-colour fade and water retention – all qualities we seek in haircare.

True to nature

MUVO choose to partner with Native Extracts Australia because of their true to nature plant profiles and cellular extraction (the way in which they obtain the phyto-compounds/natural molecules out of the cell), keeping our extracts pure and potent and maintaining the integrity of the plant.

We admire many of the business and manufacturing practices that our supplier and partner, Native Extracts, chooses; eco-conscious sourcing, First Nations supply chains, rain harvested water and responsible waste reduction to name a few. Their vision to connect brands with growers and support the growth of Australia’s primary industry, with intentional emphasis to include First Nation STEM and research projects is what MUVO is grateful to be a part of.
