Description

For blonde bleached and highlighted hair use in between washes for those pink moments. For permanently dyed pink hair, use Ultra Rose to refresh and maintain in between salon visits. Have fun experimenting with MUVO Ultra Rose. This unique hydrating formula helps to prevent fading and reconstructs damaged hair leaving it fortified, healthy and vibrant.

MUVO Ultra Rose should not be used every wash as overtime extended usage may cause product build-up and undesirable murky tones.

MUVO Ultra Rose was not designed for grey and white hair and we cannot guarantee that pink will take successfully to this hair.

How To Use

Results will vary depending on your starting blonde tone, how long you leave the product on for, the application method (wet, towel-dried, dry hair) and the condition of your hair.

For soft tones: apply to wet hair, lather and leave for 1-5 minutes depending on the depth of pink desired. Rinse thoroughly. For bright tones: apply to towel-dried or dry hair. Massage in and leave for up to 10 mins depending on the depth of colour desired. Rinse thoroughly.

Ultra Rose takes quickly to pre-coloured or bleached hair. Mix with MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo to reduce brightness in this case.

Not designed for grey hair and results may vary depending on a number of things. E.g. a full head of white hair that has been white/grey for 10 years is unlikely to achieve any pink success, whereas blonde hair speckled with grey is likely to be successful. Ultra Rose shampoo is most likely to work on bleached grey and colour-treated grey hair.
While safe on children’s hair, it was not designed to colour their hair and may not give pink results.

Recommended Routine

For permanently dyed pink hair use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo to maintain vibrancy every second wash when your permanent pink starts to fade. For blonde, bleached and highlighted hair we recommend using MUVO Totally Naked as your regular shampoo and conditioner, and alternating washes with Ultra Rose Shampoo for temporary pink colour (or even adding these two together to dilute the strength of colour). Using MUVO Totally Naked as your regular shampoo and conditioner, then adding in Ultra Rose Shampoo when you desire pink hair, will help to avoid any build-up and prevent colour damage.

Absolutely love this shampoo! I bought it to help in the weeks before my next appointment but find I am using it pretty much as soon as my salon toner fades. I mix it with the peach for a pinker peach colour. I also have the purple for those platinum days. Honestly cannot live without these shampoos – hair nice and soft, colour perfect – and adjustable.

Love Muvo. Had chemo last year and lost all my hair. I have regrowth but it is grey. I use Muvo to take that dirty look that you can get with grey hair. Use the purple one all the time so get a really nice hue to it. Got the pink one last time and I like the softness of the colour. Not as strong as the purple but still take the dullness out of the grey.

I got sooo many compliments on my hair after using this. I have naturally blonde hair and also get blonde foils so it took to my hair quite well.
I first applied it to wet hair for about 5 minutes and it was nice when I dried it but not quite dark as I wanted so I reapplied for another 3 minutes and it was the PERFECT shade of pink.
I feel like a fairy princess! Highly recommend!!

How long should I leave MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo in my hair?

MUVO Ultra Rose was designed for you to experiment to achieve different shades of pink for blonde and highlighted hair. Different times get different results. Blonde and bleached hair will achieve brighter results much more quickly than highlighted hair. We recommend that you leave for 1-3 minutes for soft pink tones and 5-10 minutes for brighter pink tones. If your hair is dark blonde you will not be able to achieve bright pink results. Experiment with timings to get your preferred tone. Did you know you can also try MUVO Ultra Rose on dry hair?! Applying on dry hair will produce brighter, more vivid, pink tones especially if your hair is pre-lightened (the colour will grab far more quickly too!)
How long will it take for MUVO Ultra Rose to wash out of my hair?

MUVO Ultra Rose washes out in 1-3 washes in most cases. If your hair is very light blonde and porous it could take 3-4 washes. TIP: To speed up the process you can always use MUVO Deep Cleansing Shampoo.
Is MUVO Ultra Rose suitable for grey hair?
MUVO Ultra Rose is a staining shampoo and results will vary on grey hair depending on a number of things:
- what shade of grey the hair is (from white through to dark grey hair)
- how long the hair has been grey for
- what colour the hair was before it was grey
- whether the hair has been bleached or coloured (Ultra Rose will grab to the treated component of the hair).
For example, a full head of white hair that has been white/grey for 10 years is unlikely to achieve any pink success, whereas blonde hair speckled with grey is likely to be successful. Ultra Rose Shampoo is most likely to work on bleached and colour-treated grey hair. If in doubt, test a small strand of your hair.
How often should I use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo?

We designed MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo to give you the power to experiment with temporary pink colour. It is not meant to be used every time you wash your hair. Maintain with MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner until it’s time to play with pink again!

If you’re loving the results and want pink hair every day, we recommend dying your hair pink with your hairdresser.
My hair is not taking to Ultra Rose in the way I expected it to. What am I doing wrong?
In order to get Ultra Rose performing in the way you’d expect it to, you might want to consider the following factors:
- your age (Ultra Rose is not suitable for use on children’s hair – see our FAQ on Ultra Rose and suitability for children)
- your hair type, any greys? (Ultra Rose is not always successful on grey hair; see our FAQ on Ultra Rose and grey hair.
- your product usage. Certain shampoo, conditioner, treatment, dry shampoo, leave-ins, sprays (and how often you use them) could be causing build up on your hair. This could make it very difficult for Ultra Rose to work effectively. In this case, we recommend the use of a clarifying or MUVO Deep Cleansing Shampoo to recalibrate and clean down to a fresh base. This will allow Ultra Rose to work more effectively and get the results you were seeking.
- what hair colouring/treatments you have had done (either in the salon or at home) over the past 3-6 months. If your hair is over-processed or not lifted to a “clean” level this will affect your result. Overly dry, porous hair will absorb quickly in some areas and your result may be uneven and not the tone you desired.
Ultra Rose is a temporary shampoo and not meant to colour your hair permanently or regularly. We recommend the use MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner as your regular use S&C and then use Ultra Rose occasionally, and in between to have creative pink colour fun! I've been using MUVO Ultra Rose for over 2 months and now my hair is appearing murky. What's gone wrong?

Yeah, we know you love being pink, but sometimes you can over-MUVO. For the Ultra Rose addicts out there you need to make sure that your hair is in great condition and that you use a normal (non-coloured) shampoo and conditioner in between Ultra Rose. We also recommend that you have your hair permanently dyed pink, instead of using a temporary colour shampoo. Over-use can cause colour build-up and may lead to colour damage. We recommend MUVO Totally Naked Shampoo and Conditioner for use in between washing with Ultra Rose. Over processed, unhealthy hair can also lead to murky tones after long-term and regular use. Go easy on the pink!
Is MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo just for blondes?

MUVO Ultra Rose can be used on bleached or highlighted hair as well as blonde hair. It’s also great on rose gold or peach toned hair whether it be natural or salon created. You’ll experience much shorter wait times on salon coloured hair than natural or darker shades. MUVO Ultra Rose is very versatile. Experimenting with timing will give unique results that will keep your hair looking refreshed.
Will MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo make my hair go pink?

That’s our plan! Don’t forget though, MUVO Ultra Rose is a toning shampoo. Lather up and immediately wash out and you will get soft, dusty pink tones. The longer you leave it, the more colour you will deposit. Not to be used every wash.
Do I need to use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo on clean hair? Or use a regular shampoo afterwards?

No. MUVO Ultra Rose is a shampoo. It has all the yummy ingredients to leave your hair clean and vibrant.
Can I use MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo if my roots (or ends) are a different colour?

MUVO Ultra Rose can be used in this scenario but be sure to apply mainly to the section of your hair where toning is required. If your ends are a fashion shade (eg. balayage) MUVO Ultra Rose is perfect for where pink toning is required. Here’s a trick! If you want to avoid toning a section of hair, before applying shampoo, coat the areas that you don’t wish to tone with MUVO Totally Naked Conditioner, to avoid MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo coming into contact with this section.
How do I know if MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo is right for my hair type?

MUVO Ultra Rose can be used on all hair types if your desire is to add pink hues to your blonde, bleached or highlighted hair. Different hair types, depending on whether you have pre-coloured, or naturally light hair, will determine processing times. Again, we invite you to experiment!
Will MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo stain my hands and/or towels?

Like any beauty product with colour, there is some risk of staining. This will depend on the condition of your skin (dryness, etc). Make sure you thoroughly rinse hands immediately after use or whilst you’re waiting for development. We find that hand staining usually comes off with MUVO Conditioner. Product may stain absorbent material. If concerned, we recommend using dark towels on toning days!
Is MUVO Ultra Rose suitable for children?

Whilst MUVO Ultra Rose Shampoo is safe on children’s hair, it was never designed to colour their hair and may not give pink results.
Can I use this while pregnant?

Yes! MUVO coloured shampoos are safe to use while pregnant as they are applied for a short amount of time and have no risk of being absorbed into your bloodstream. However, because every pregnancy is different and some women find themselves particularly sensitive to fragrance and ingredients that they’ve never been sensitive to before, we recommend that you do a test strand/area.
